Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Stan de Haan's comedic nature has fueled him with a passion for entertaining, whether it be music, drama, or just being the class clown. He has always tried to find ways to make people laugh in any situation. Stan's start in drama came at the tender age of ten when he had the lead role in The Poppy Seed Cakes, a play performed for his elementary school audience. Stan stayed in drama until junior high school where he then switched to music learning to play various instruments including the tuba and drums. When Stan entered high school he became the drummer of both the concert band and stage band declaring his major in music by graduation. Stan then played in various bands outside of high school including The Red Marilyn's with whom he recorded an album in 2005.
Stan got back in the acting scene as a background actor in the CBC movie H2O playing various parts through out the film. He then proceeded to study acting, which lead to a supporting actor role in the short film The Box. More recently he has appeared in various other films as a background actor.
Over the last few years, Stan has been practicing the art of ventriloquism and combined with his comedic nature, he has decided to make it his goal at becoming the next great Canadian Comedian. He will tour one day with the big boys of comedy. Stan truely believes that laughter is the best medicine, especially in an uncertain world.
